(parallel to Forum III and IV)
Chair: Alexander Richter, ThinkGeoEnergy
The investment cost in geothermal projects are high, especially with respect to the drilling cost. However, the Bavarian Molasse Basin also shows a tremendous track record. From about 50 drilled wells just 2 did not hit the target. And in one of them a sidetrack is planned within the framwork of a scientific project. This results in a success rate of more than 90 percent.
However, there are still many interesting spots in the Bavarian Molasse Basin to implement a geothermal power plant. Additionally some of the projects operating are for sale as just recently the heat plant in Kirchweidach.
The Round Table "Invest Geothermal" within this year's Praxisforums Geothermie.Bayern gives the opportunity to exchange opinions and discuss the investment framework in Middle Europe's most active Geothermal market. Meet operators, developers and permit holders as well as investors and insurance representatives to find out more about geothermal energy in Bavaria.
